Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this program, you should be able to:

1. Recognize the function and application of each type of hardware
2. Understand where to specify them correctly
3. Know how to apply them to fire doors, egress doors
   and ADA compliant openings
4. Coordinate electrified hardware to hardware sets and preamble

Instruction for use:

This program can be completed in one 60 minute sitting. Upon completion, 1 LU HSW/SD will be awarded to AIA members and 2 CEP Points to DHI members. A Certificate of Completion is available to print for your records.

To begin:

1. Complete each part of the program in the order as shown.
2. Text highlighted in red indicates key learning goals and objectives.
3. Click on this icon to view a corresponding video, photo or other file associated with a key learning goal and objective.
4. A Glossary of Terms is available for reference.
5. Upon completion of each part of the program, a multiple choice evaluation must be completed. Upon submission, results of your evaluation will be displayed with the correct answers shown in red.
6. Once all parts of the program have been completed, proceed to Certificate of Completion and follow the instructions as outlined.

General information:

DORMA is a Registered Provider with The American Institute of Architects Continuing Education Systems and DHI CEP Program provider. Credit earned on completion of this program will be reported to CES Records for AIA members. A Certificate of Completion is available to print for your records.
